Happy Birthday, my friend.
-----------------------------------
When you are troubled by what to do next, give it to God. That's what alll that religious leaders say, but their meaning is lost on those who already do not look too far outside themselves for answers.
The meaning is to give the suffering part of it to Him, but not to be idle expecting Him to hold your hand. Once the stress is gone, life is more clear. That clarity should allow you to see other opportunities, or at least see avenues within the directions you already have in mind.
The best thing to remember is "when you don't know what to do, do what is right, and do what is in front of you, but not necessarily what is right in front of you."
-----------------------------------
No matter how old you are, there is always someone older. My best friend turned 55 today. I still can't wrap my head around being my age, but I know I can't imagine 55.
Age isn't the part that worries me. It's growing past the difference between the limits of my mind's concept of what my body can do, and the reality of what my body can do.
It's finding those little things to fill my memory that were not there, and making them stick as they did in my youth.
It's increasing my exercise to tighten my skin and muscles, while not destroying my system that governs it.
Accomplishments: Two 5K runs, now up to 3.5 miles in practice. Pace down to 11:50 running / 13:56 jogging and walking.
